Contribution of Active Sports Participation to Health in Daily Life
Health is defined as the individual's being in a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. The
effects of physical activity on our health can be examined under the following headings:
Effects on our physical health:
Protects muscle strength and contributes to its increase,
Helps maintain body posture,
It reduces fatigue,
Contributes to increase respiratory capacity,
Helps balance the body's use of water, salt and minerals,
Regulates heart rhythm,
By strengthening the heart, it increases blood flow to the heart and reduces the risk of heart attack,
Regularly active individuals are more successful in getting rid of smoking addiction than inactive individuals,
Regular physical activity helps control diabetes and blood sugar by controlling insulin activity,
By bringing the habit of meeting energy needs by burning fat, it accelerates metabolism and prevents
weight gain,
It reduces the risk of developing cerebrovascular diseases,
It reduces the risk of developing early dementia and forgetfulness due to the increase in blood flow to the
brain due to its effects on the vascular structure.
