      What can the employee do?

About the employee himself/herself, it is not necessary to be a high-demand sport or continuous physical
exercise, but it is necessary to take breaks in which we rest from the screen and stretch our muscles.
These breaks are known as active breaks in which the mind rests and the body is activated.
Five minutes of gentle stretching is enough to reactivate the body after so many hours of sitting. In
addition, it is important to keep an eye on our sitting posture as it will also influence how we feel and
      prevent back and neck pain.
Workers who do more physical work away from the office can also take active breaks in which they
perform stretching exercises to avoid muscle aches and pains caused by standing or carrying weight for so
many hours. This is the case, for example, of a factory worker who takes two minutes to stretch and
loosen up his muscles, or a street sweeper who takes frequent short breaks to stretch his back and avoid
      contractures and pains.
In addition, taking the stairs and avoiding the lift, taking a walk at lunchtime, stretching, and doing some
exercises from the same chair, walking to work are other options that should be considered in order to
include physical activity in our routine. If your company has a gym, make use of the facilities or the options
offered by your company to add sport to your life.
