Sport for Adults
We all know that sport is part of a healthy life, but we usually don`t dive deeper into that. For example,
workouts are a pretty effective method to keep cancer away, but they are also a good companion for
therapy. It helps the patient during the healing and recovery processes.
Physical activity triggers a large number of reactions inside the human body that support the fight against
tumors. Even if this doesn`t cure the cancer, it strengthens the immune system.
There are some studies that suggest the sport is actively stimulating the famous natural killer cells. These
cells are one of the most effective defense systems against cancer because they literally decompose the
cancer cells.
Running or even brisk walking for at least 6 hours per week reduces colon cancer by almost 40%. This
routine and some healthy eating habits are a very useful combo used to prevent that kind of cancer.
Physical activity is also helping the prevention of prostate or breast cancer. More precisely, the risk is
reduced by 25-30%.
As a conclusion, we can firmly say that physical activity helps both the prevention and healing stages of
cancer. We can even say it simply improves the general mood of the patients, which motivates them to
fight.
