Importance of physical activity
What does it mean to engage in physical activity?
1. Physical exercises aimed at keeping your body in good shape or increasing its strength. Some of stress
can be eased by taking a few minutes to do some light physical activity or practice a relaxation response.
2. A set of exercises designed to improve your health or increase your strength.
Influence of physical exercise on the immunological response.
Most people agree that physical activity is one of the most important parts of a healthy lifestyle.
It has been shown that both short-term and long-term exercise have a big effect on how well the immune
system works.
When it comes to exercise, factors like how often (frequency), how hard (intensity), how long (duration),
and what kind of effort is put in all affect the immune response caused by the activity.
According to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), beginners should train 2–3 days per week,
while intermediate and expert lifters should train 3–4 days per week and 4–6 days per week.
The amount of effort your body puts out when engaging in physical activity is referred to as exercise
intensity. Your appropriate workout intensity will be determined by your health and fitness goals as well as
your present fitness level. People often use the words "low," "moderate," and "intense" to describe how
hard a workout is.
"Exercise duration" is the amount of time you spend doing physical activity in a single session. The amount
of time you spend exercising depends on your current fitness level and long-term goals. The intensity of
your workout also influences how long it takes you to complete it.
Moderate-intensity physical activities boost cellular immunity, but long-term or high-intensity practices
without enough rest could lower cellular immunity, making it more likely that you will get an infectious
disease.
According to the International Society for Exercise and Immunology (ISEI), an immunological decline occurs
following the practice of prolonged physical exercise, which is defined as 90 minutes of moderate-to-high-
intensity physical activity or more each week.
